 Top 2 Fine Dining Spots in Switzerland

Nothing is better than indulging in a five star dinner while you are exploring Europe. In Europe, typically dinner is the largest meal of the day, most Europeans rarely cook and instead go out to a local restaurant for dinner and drinks every night. This is my compiled list of the two different best fine dining experiences in Switzerland. Both of these restaurants have specially crafted menus with corresponding courses, drinks, and desserts, giving each customer the best dining experience

1. Elmira- Zurich

Elmira screams fancy from the second you walk in; from the innovative architecture to the ever-changing multiple course menu, this restaurant is the epitome of a fine dining experience. You get the choice between a five or seven course meal with vegetarian and vegan options. Course four; a leek, black garlic, and poultry-cream vegetable-Jus, was the most delicious and decadent course of the night. Every course also goes with a corresponding drink, water, coffee, a cocktail, or whine. Each meal was not only artfully prepared and displayed, but delicious as well. Overall, Elmira was an amazing fine dining experience and a must-try for tourists. 

2. Restaurant Pavillon- Zurich

Restaurant Pavillon has the most amazing view; located right on the Schanzengraben Canal, decorated with beautiful fresh flowers, and divine food. Similar to Elmira, Pavilion also offers a seven and nine course meal with excellent vegetarian options. The mushroom gnocchi topped with cranberries and parsnips was located on the Potager (vegetable garden) portion of the menu, it was so tasty and beautifully plated. Pavilion also offers housemade ice cream; vanilla, grape, and beetroot. And housemade sorbets; plum, orange, and bergamonte. Both the ice cream and sorbet were fresh and flavorful, although I would've loved to see a chocolate flavor ice cream. Overall, Restaurant Pavillon and Elmira, although very different vibes, are both beautiful and have delicious food.
