Schale, just your basic coffee with milk but served in a big cup or bowl, definitely something I need some mornings! And Kafi Luz, a Swiss coffee cocktail made with pear brandy. For my fellow coffee connoisseurs, I’ve compiled a list of the two best coffee shops in Switzerland, as well as their most popular or unique menu items!

1. Sleepy Bear- Lausanne

Named one of the best coffee shops in all of Switzerland, Sleepy Bear is known for their impeccable vibes, amazing specialty coffee, and tourist approved drinks! At this shop, you can get anything from a plain Americano, espresso shots with hot water, to a chai tea latte. All topped with the most adorable hand crafted foam bear! The baristas at Sleepy Bear Coffee are super friendly, and take the time to explain all the different roasts and methods that they use. 

2. Birdie Food & Coffee- Geneva

Along with Birdie’s aesthetically pleasing shop and super cute name, they also have amazing drinks, food, and even beer! They offer black or white coffee drinks, and a wide variety of both hot and iced drinks, with their most popular drink being a basic Kafi-creme. Their ever changing breakfast and brunch menu is packed with unique items like Vegan Korean Buns and Brioche with Sizzled Lard. This place is always busy and seems to be taking Swiss coffee and cuisine to the next level!
